Air freight: optimising flows and securing access

A 25,300 m² air cargo terminal equipped with 41 high-speed flexible doors

Smooth cargo flow, secure access, and cold chain control: key challenges for air cargo

Air cargo terminals are among the most strategic logistics infrastructures. Every day, they must ensure the rapid movement of goods while guaranteeing secure access, operational continuity, and compliance with storage conditions.

To address these challenges, a 25,300 m² air cargo hub was equipped with 41 Maviflex high-speed flexible doors, distributed across three bays dedicated to cargo handling and transit operations.

A tailored solution for the requirements of each zone

This project relies on several industrial solutions designed to meet the site’s specific needs:

MaviMAX Insulated on Castor Deck Platforms

Four insulated Mavimax rapid roll-up doors have been integrated into Castor Deck platforms.

This solution is particularly well-suited for areas with heavy logistics traffic. It facilitates load transfers, supports high-volume traffic, and helps ensure the smooth flow of material handling operations.

MaviPASS and MaviROLL

Mavipass and Maviroll high-speed flexible doors have been deployed according to the operational needs of each space.

Their design secures the site’s various access points while facilitating the rapid movement of goods and material-handling equipment.

Triple-Insulated Solutions for Cold Rooms

Certain areas required enhanced temperature control.

Triple-insulated versions were therefore installed in the cold rooms to help maintain the cold chain and preserve sensitive goods.

A Project Where Access Security Was Essential

Access security was a major challenge in this project. Remote access controls and several specific modifications were implemented to strengthen access control while maintaining the site’s operational efficiency.

This approach made it possible to balance security, logistical performance, and the continuity of traffic flows within a particularly demanding environment.

A project illustrating Maviflex’s customized approach

A combination of insulated high-speed doors on Castor Deck platforms, solutions designed for cold storage rooms, and systems tailored to secure access points: this project demonstrates the importance of equipment designed to meet the operational requirements of each site.

Highlights of this project:

  • A 25,300 m² air cargo platform dedicated to logistics operations and the transit of goods
  • 41 Maviflex high-speed flexible doors installed within 3 operational cells
  • Remote opening controls and specific adaptations to enhance access security
  • Mavimax, Mavipass, and Maviroll solutions deployed to support logistics flows, temperature control, and operational safety
